You can also use this same method for any console: Xbox, 360, PS3, Wii, Gamecube, NES, N64, and any system that uses RCA composite cables as an output to your TV. PS3 and 360 do not normally come bundled with an RCA composite video cable. But you can buy an RCA composite cable from Gamestop that connects to a Wii, 360, or a PS3. There are capture cards that record in higher quality formats, even up to HD, but the higher the quality the more expensive it is. And for youtube uploading, 480p does just fine. M-Audio Support: www.m-audio.com Before you start recording with the Pro Tools Recording Studio, you need to connect your gear to the M-Audio Fast Track USB audio interface. Plug your headphones into the jack on the front of the Fast Track labeled with a headphone icon. Connect an amplifier or powered speakers to the red and white RCA line outputs on the back of the Fast Track. Depending on your speakers, you may need a 1/8 stereo to dual RCA adapter like this one. If you dont have headphones or an adapter, you can connect your computer speakers to the headphone output on the front. It is not possible to use your computers built-in sound card, headphone output, or laptop speakers with Pro Tools. Dynamic microphones like the M-Audio SoundCheck can be used with the Fast Track USB. Using a standard XLR microphone cable, plug the mic into the XLR Mic Input on the back of the Fast Track. AverMedia C281 Set up for PS3

This tutorial is how to set up the AverMedia game capture HD C281 device for a PS3.. Please note that this device works with component inputs and NOT COMPOSITE !! If your TV has red, white and yellow that means you have composite inputs. Please do not ask me if your TV will work with composite inputs as I have already answered above and you cannot at the moment, unless someone knows different. If your TV has red, blue and green for video and red and white for audio you have component inputs and the Avermedia device will work. The Avermedia C281 comes with all the cables so you do not need to go out and buy any other cables like the PS3 component cable like we did for the Roxio Game Capture device. The game console cable is universal so it has the PS3, Xbox and wii connectors. I don't think there is another capturing device that comes with these. But I could be wrong. You use a SATA 2.5 inch hard drive up to 2TB to put inside the device. Please note that no hard drive comes with the device. You can use a USB Memory stick or external portable hard drive as well. At the end of the video there is the game play that was captured while making this video and also 5 snap shots. A couple were taken afterwards as well. Axe-FX II & MFC-101 - Initial Setup

The Axe-FX II is an amazing piece of gear, but we need a little help controlling it when playing live. After all, we only have 2 hands right (I'm looking at you, Steve Vai...). That's where the MFC-101 MIDI Foot Controller comes in to help. The MFC can help us change presets, enable and bypass effects and blocks, and control a whole bunch of parameters in realtime while our hands are busy playing that Journey tune. In this video, I show how to setup the basic menu items on the Axe-FX II and MFC-101 to get everything connected and communicating correctly. I am using the latest firmware available for each unit, 6.02 for the Axe-FX II and 2.02 for the MFC-101. I am connecting using the Expansion Port on the MFC, which uses a CAT5 cable. If you want to connect using a MIDI cable instead, you will need to power the unit using the included power adaptor, and set the first item in the MIDI menu "USE PORT" to MIDI. This is described in the video. MAJOR IMPORTANT NOTE: As stated in the video, do NOT use both a CAT5 cable and the included MFC power adaptor at the same time. That's 2 sources of power to the unit and that's not good! However, keep a long MIDI cable and the power adaptor in your gig bag as a backup in case your CAT5 stops working. CAT5 cables are usually flimsy and the jacket is very thin, making it easy to break. Always have a backup at the gig!

WARNIGS: make shure you unplug the turntable before unscrewing or opening. be careful not to breake any of the thin wires from the tone arm as they are a very delicate.

The trick is to use a Line to Mic cable, this Pads the output of the Recorder down to something that the Canon can handle via the MIC input (thanks @DSLRinformer!). The DVcreators Line to Mic cable is a simple 1/8" male to male with a -50dB pad. dvcreators.net Just for kicks we give the Sennheiser G3 wireless a whirl - note that we are using the upgraded MKE-2 lav mic for an even better sound. Also note that the RODE NTG-3 www.dvestore.com can sound pretty decent indoors when positioned very close. This room has tiled floors and bare, highly reflective walls. Reflections can be overcome with proximity. TC-Helicon VoiceLive Play GTX Demo

A demo of some of the effects found on the TC-Helicon VoiceLive GTX pedal. All tracks are performed live using only the effects found on the device for the all of the vocal and guitar parts. There are also a couple of tracks using a keyboard with a MIDI output with the device to enable it to generate correct harmonies and a track showing off its looper effect. The audio was recorded directly into a computer via the XLR output on the unit and the mic used is an AKG D5. If you're thinking of buying a VoiceLive Play GTX I hope you find this video useful. :) PS: I have also done an unboxing video of the VoiceLive GTX that you can also find on YouTube. *Available in 720p for the best audio quality.
